SAM is used to define the processes necessary for analysing a company’s software inventory and managing, controlling
and protecting it in all phases. Thanks to our close cooperation with various manufacturers of SAM tools, we are also
able to offer turnkey solutions, if required. Up to 25% can be saved on licence fees by using a properly functioning
licence management system that includes software standardisation, harmonisation, consolidation and improved software
distribution.
Our products
In order to be able to accommodate widely differing customer needs, we offer three different basic concepts.
Each of which can be adapted to the specific business situation: SAM Light, SAM and SAM Hosting.

SAM Light
SAM Light is simply the snapshot of your software status on a given date. This analysis, however, becomes outdated very quickly, and
long-term compliance is not guaranteed (contrary to SAM or SAM Hosting). SAM Light is therefore convenient for clients interested in
a general overview of their current licensing status.

SAM
Here, the concept of a long-term process is added to SAM Light. First, the purchase and installation of your software, but also your
internal regulations are analyzed and modified, if necessary. The final result is that you manage yor software licenses yourself in the
long term – and in a transparent manner.

SAM Hosting Service
With Hosting Service, Comsoft direct proposes the optimal solution for all clients who prefer “outsourcing” instead of dedicating
internal resources to software license management. Rather than purchasing and deploying a license management tool yourself, you
partner with Comsoft direct for this service. Each month you pay a fee for each client workstation, and you have continuous access to
reports for your specific needs. You send the inventory of your installed software to Comsoft direct on a regular basis, Comsoft
direct imports it and validates your newly purchased licenses within the same tool. Comsoft direct will regularly provide you with reports
which allow you to have a detailed overview of the licensing status in your company.
